Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting clerk to perform Accounts Payable responsibilities for our non-profit church with two campuses located in both Concord and Brentwood. You will perform moderately complex clerical accounting work to ensure bills are paid accurately and timely. Successful candidate will be team focused, gets things done on time with a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
To successfully perform all aspects of accounts payable your duties will require, sorting of incoming mail, routing invoices to other departments for approvals, adding new vendors into the accounting software, processing invoices for payment (coding, verifying accuracy of balance due and manager approvals) and with appropriate backup, reviewing and reconciliation of vendor statements, preparing 1099’s annually, scanning and filing of paid documents, and assisting with other accounting projects when needed.
Qualifications
AA degree in Accounting or 2 years of equivalent experience preferred.

2+ years performing accounts payable processes, within a nonprofit organization with restricted funding a plus.
Computer software: Microsoft Suite; Outlook, Excel & Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Intacct Accounting Software, Monday.com
The Bay Church in Concord CA was founded in a storefront in 1931, in what was at that time, the small rural town of Concord, California. The church has experienced much growth over the years and built successive buildings on Galindo Street, Clayton Road, and today our current site on Evora Road.
In 2020, our members and the members from Harvest Time Assembly voted unanimously to merge the two churches. We officially became one church in two locations, and the next chapter of our future is now being created.
