Pine Acres is an evangelical, Bible-based church with a contemporary style of worship. We have a thriving children's and youth ministry and a solid family ministry.
We are seeking someone to be responsible for the creative and foundational direction of the development, coordination, and leadership of worship experiences at Pine Acres Church
(PAC). Serve as the content expert for music and worship resources. Report directly to the Senior Pastor, and work collaboratively with ministerial staff, administrative staff,
church leadership, Praise Team volunteers, and church members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Plan, organize, and direct music and worship resources to provide worship
experiences throughout the year that reflect PAC values and intergenerational
involvement in worship.
2. Create weekly worship sets for Sunday Service, and provide to appropriate
Praise Team members.
3. Set-up weekly worship service through Planning Center (i.e. determine keys
for songs, download chord charts, piano music and lead sheets, create playlists
for band members, etc.).
4. Schedule Praise Team volunteers, to include band members and tech team.
5. Oversee and schedule weekly Praise Team rehearsals.
6. Prepare and print Tech Sheets (i.e. order of worship service) for the tech team,
to include cues for lights, slides, and sound.
7. Prepare stage for worship services, and special events. To include the
powering up/down of required equipment.
8. Manage Music & Technology Budget and purchase/maintain equipment and
necessary A/V programs and software, to include appropriate computer/tech
updates, charging of Praise Team iPads, etc.
9. Prepare slides in Pro-Presenter for worship services, and special events.
10. Ensure volunteer is scheduled to operate Mevo camera during worship
services, and special events as needed, for live streaming.
11. Organize the worship service prayer schedule for Deacons, in coordination
with the Board of Deacons. Input weekly prayer schedule into Planning
Center, as well as provide schedule to church receptionist.
12. Recruit and fill Praise Team volunteer positions as needed, to include tech
team.
13. Train volunteers on Pro-Presenter, Planning Center, and Mevo as needed.
14. Research new songs to introduce into worship services, as well as seek to
incorporate more traditional songs to create a seamless intergenerational
worship experience.
15. Place new songs into Planning Center and select appropriate keys.
16. Ensure appropriate weekly reporting of songs regarding applicable copyright
laws and licenses.
17. Program lights for worship services, and special events.
18. Assist the Children’s Director with running sound, slides, and lights for
Wednesday night Treehouse/Bridge services.
19. Coordinate with and assist the Children’s Director regarding A/V and musicrelated
needs for the children’s Christmas Play (i.e. preparing
instruments/soundboard for practice, lights, sound, microphones, etc.) during
both final dress-rehearsals and performances.
20. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sound booth, stage, and
related storage areas.
21. Coordinate with and assist the Youth Pastor in scheduling and organizing
Wednesday night Student Ministry and College Ministry services as needed.
22. Contribute to advancing the gospel through community worship events as
needed.
23. Work in coordination with other ministerial staff to ensure A/V and musicrelated
needs are met for funerals held at PAC.
24. Attend weekly Staff Meetings, or meet weekly with Senior Pastor as
scheduled.
25. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform other related duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS: Oversee adult and youth Praise
Team volunteers, to include band and tech team members. Responsible for the training of
new tech team members.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR OWN WORK: Work under the supervision of the Senior
Pastor and the Overseer Board.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: Proficient ability to read music.
Experience: One year experience serving on a worship team, and/or leading
congregations in worship and overseeing worship teams.
Skills: Skilled vocalist and highly proficient in at least one instrument. Proven
ability to lead and work alongside a diverse team. Proficiency in using multimedia
resources such as Pro-Presenter and Planning Center. Ability to successfully
trouble-shoot malfunctions in equipment, and A/V programs and software.
Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, adhere to strict deadlines and be attentive to detail. Display
the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Character: Strong biblical knowledge and ability to share the Gospel. Serviceoriented,
with a desire to serve both church and community. Eager to empower
others in developing their musical gifts. Innovative and willing to embrace new
ideas. Promote a spirit of unity and encouragement in the body of believers.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and/or formal training in music or
related discipline. Five years experience leading congregations in worship and overseeing
worship teams. Experience in varied musical genres.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light lifting up to 10 lbs and light carrying up to
10 lbs required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing,
walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from room to room within the
church and to visit off-site locations.
COMPENSATION: $450 per week.
HOURS: Variable hours, typically averaging 20-30 hours per week.
