SENIOR PASTOR
Snyder bible Church is an independent church located in northeastern Colorado in the small town of Snyder, think rural. It is five miles from the larger town of Brush.
Our pastor, after ten years of ministry with us, left to teach at Frontier School of the bible in LaGrange, Wyoming. Thus, we find ourselves in need of a pastor.
We are a church which currently averages around 180 to 225 per Sunday morning service. The majority of those who attend live within 12-15 miles of the church. We also have a youth pastor on staff and a part-time church secretary. The church campus consists of 3 buildings: a worship center that seats around 225, built in 2000; an all-purpose building with classrooms, kitchen and gym, built in 2008; an educational building/fellowship hall built in 2021. The annual budget of our church is around $275,000-$300,000. The church currently has no debt. The church does not own a parsonage.
We would describe ourselves as conservative. We are Dispensational in our interpretation and pre-tribulation rapture in our anticipation. We are not five-point Calvinists. We do believe God is sovereign and is directing the world events leading to His return and rule. We believe God draws all people to Himself but He leaves the decision to believe with the individual. We do no hold to "Lordship salvation", We believe salvation is through faith alone and although God wants everyone to serve Him passionately, it is not a requirement for salvation. We take a literal approach to the Scriptures and believe in a 7-day creation and literal world-wide flood. We like contemporary music as well as hymns. Some in our congregation use the KJV, some the NASB, as still others use various translations. We like evangelistic outreaches in our community. We are not a pastor ruled church. We believe in multiple elder rule. The pastor is an equal member of the elder board and his input is always valued. Decisions are made through elder consensus. Our goal in this explanation of what we believe is to alleviate any future controversy and create an atmosphere of peace and unity from the beginning.
