Intermountain Evangelical Free Church (imfreechurch.com) (120 pre-Covid) is searching for a pastor that desires to preach and teach the whole counsel of God’s Word.

The Church

Intermountain Evangelical Free Church (aka: IM Free Church) is a loving, grace filled, Christ centered, Bible based congregation. We are a small church in the town of McArthur in the beautiful Fall River Valley with panoramic views of Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen. McArthur is located in northeastern California. We are a logging and agricultural community with many cattle ranches and fields of alfalfa, mint, and strawberries. Our sanctuary seats about 250 and we have a separate multi-use educational building. We are debt free.

The Candidate

The Intermountain Evangelical Free Church began in 1994. There have been only 2 consecutive pastors. The first pastor served for 16 years. The second pastor served for 11 years. During that period of time, the church saw an increase in attendance and new members. This resulted in the need for enlargement; a multipurpose auditorium was built. We have recently paid off this expansion project. Due to the pandemic, the continued lock down, and lack of connection, this has taken a toll on attendance and involvement. We are in search of a pastor to rebuild and reconnect members. Our church is a mix of old and new believers in need of leadership, discipleship, and Biblical teaching that is life changing.
