Job Responsibilities & Duties
The goal is to lead the church into a time of authentic worship in a Spirit-filled atmosphere.
- Recruit, train, and lead teams of vocalists and instrumentals for worship services
- Disciple the worship team in all areas of the church
- Partner with Lead Pastor when planning services
- Train and equip interns and others called to worship ministry into successful leaders
- Use Planning Center Online for scheduling (weeks out), while picking weekly song lists
- Resource and coach worship teams (youth & young adults) for continual improvement
- Lead Sunday rehearsals, while also planning times for practice weekly
- Create gatherings regularly with your teams for fellowship and unity
- Lead churchwide & community worship nights four to six times throughout the year
- To partner with the media and production team
- Oversee all equipment in the worship area
- Remain flexible to do whatever is needed to assist the Pastor to grow the church
Personal Responsibilities
- Complete the Growth Track and be a member of the church
- Be a faithful attendee at all public services along with your family
- Be an active supporter of the church’s events/programs/outreaches
- Family commits to NHC Honor Code, while living above reproach in conversation, entertainment, interpersonal relationships, personal finances and conduct
- Be a faithful tither, while supporting missions and other projects that you decide
- Be loyal to the Lead Pastor, his vision, and the staff of New Hope Church
General Requirements
- Arrive on time or early for set up on Sundays
- Attend designated special services and functions designated by the church
- Maintain an atmosphere of excellence in all that you do (work ethic, dress, socially online…)
- Receive ongoing training through books, videos, blogs, podcasts that will provide excellence for your ministry
- Develop and train volunteer leaders who will assist you in the fulfillment of your vision.
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Fully participate in our seasons of prayer and fasting
- Set a standard on promptness and readiness in attendance at all meetings
- Be flexible and willing to do whatever is necessary to accomplish the vision of the church
- Office hours on Monday – Thursday from 9:00AM – 4:00PM
