Youth Pastor/Associate

Job Description:

We are accepting resumes for a Youth Pastor/Associate with music ministry gifting. We are looking for a ministry couple who are passionate about students of all ages grow in spiritual depth though Holy Spirit led discipleship. Must have experience with Assemblies of God Church, preferably credentialed minister(s) with the Assemblies of God, have enthusiasm for recruiting/equipping team leaders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan weekly Wednesday evening services with an emphasis on worship and the WORD.

• Develop Youth Worship Team to lead worship

• Plan and promote monthly youth events, annual events, and special emphasis Youth Services

• Help facilitate our online presence through Church Website and Facebook page through weekly updates, posts, and photos.

• Develop strategies to interact with youth/parents through social media, parent meetings and individual conversations.

• Develop and implement consistent LifeGroup discipleship for High school and Middle School students on Sunday evenings.

• Assist Senior Pastor weekly with worship ministry on Sunday mornings. Musical and vocal gifting is needed for Worship Ministry.

Requirements

• Experience from a Pentecostal institution with a commitment to Tenets of Faith of the Assemblies of God.

• While this is for one employee position, we are looking for a ministry couple with a strong marriage with the expectation that both are involved and invested in ministry in a way that compliments each other and impacts the lives of teenagers as positive role models.

• Proven talent to lead, equip and mentor Youth Ministry Team

• Proven talent to lead, equip and mentor Worship Ministry team

• Good communicator/preaching talents and ability to work on a Pastoral Team, and fulfill assignments with strong interpersonal skills.

• Union City, Tennessee is a rural farming community with a city population of approximately 11,000 and a county population of approximately 30,000 people. While we are located in a small rural area, the atmosphere is one of progress and growth.

• First Assembly of God Church is currently experiencing 160 people in attendance on Sunday mornings, which include nursery and Impact Kids Ministry. Our Oasis Youth Ministry is currently averaging 25 students and 8 adult youth staff on Wednesday Nights, with student led worship.
