Minister Of Discipleship Ministries

The ideal candidate is an energetic, growing disciple of Jesus Christ desiring to help disciple others in their walk with Christ. Major responsibilities include leading our established student ministries (UMYF, Jr. UMYF, Sunday School, and Children’s Church), creating new ministries for our younger children and young adults (including the students at our neighboring university), and providing support to ministries for our families and senior citizens. Ability to play or sing in our praise band and/or preach on occasion a plus.

Bethel United Methodist Church is the county seat church on the front porch of the Lowcountry in downtown Walterboro, SC. The congregation has been worshipping on the same site for almost 200 years. Bethel offers traditional and contemporary worship (with separate children's church), Sunday school for all ages, adult discipleship groups, active youth groups, and a weekday preschool. Bethel is heavily involved in missions. Bethel has an outstanding lay leadership team and is financially sound.
