The Newberry Church of Christ is seeking a full-time Associate Minister who demonstrates a love for God and a pastoral heart committed to loving God and loving others. We are searching for a candidate who:
-Sincerely feels they have been into ministry
-Is committed to Restoration Movement doctrine
-Is able to recruit, disciple and sustain a team of volunteers willing to serve within the body and engages parents of our youth as vital partners within the ministry of our youth
-Will find creative ways to enhance and build Christ centered relationships with the body at Newberry Church of Christ and community
-Will actively support the outreach activities in the surrounding neighborhoods and oversee the assimilation of new attendees to ensure a continued loving environment in the congregation
-Will visit members and prospects and lead the membership in a visitation program
-Will organize occasional retreats and mission trips to challenge the youth in their spiritual growth and their service to Christ, the church, and the lost.
-Is capable of filling the pulpit, communicating the truth of scripture in all circumstances
We prefer a recent grad, but will consider candidates with more experience. We are prepared to offer a competitive salary and compensation package.
