CEFC is seeking a gifted leader to serve as an Associate Campus Pastor at our Carlisle Campus. This position will provide pastoral care and leadership to the Carlisle congregation as we pursue our vision of “All of Life for Christ.”

CEFC is a multi-site church in South Central Pennsylvania with our broadcast location in Carlisle. The area is well known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and quaint, shop-filled downtowns. With mountains on the horizon, trout-filled streams, and the Appalachian Trail nearby, South Central PA is a great place to call home and raise a family. If you are looking for big-city amenities, Harrisburg is just 20 minutes away across the Susquehanna River and Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City are all within easy reach.

ANTICIPATED TIME COMMITTMENTS:

This is a full-time, exempt position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. This position requires work on Sunday mornings and occasionally during weekday evenings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Model living all of life for Christ in your personal and professional life.
• Assume responsibilities of traditional pastoral care including weddings, funerals, baptisms, pastoral counseling, child dedications, and membership interviews.
• Teach on Sunday morning 6-10 times per year and in other settings as required.
• Maintain a visible and engaged pastoral presence on Sunday mornings, connecting with attendees, welcoming newcomers, and responding to the congregations needs.
• Participate in the life of the church; this includes leading a life group, participating in ministry activities, and teaching various classes.
• Help develop and implement strategies that encourage people to take meaningful next steps in discipleship and live "All of Life for Christ."
• Assist in establishing ministry goals, evaluating ministry effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing changes that support the continued health and growth of the Carlisle Campus congregation.
• Recruit, develop, equip, and encourage volunteer ministry leaders, build healthy teams, and develop future leaders.
• Develop relationships within the Carlisle community and identify opportunities for CEFC to build relationships, and reach people who are not currently connected to a church.
• Supervise 1-3 volunteer and/or paid staff Ministry Leaders.
• Perform other ministry-related responsibilities consistent with the purpose of the position as assigned by the Executive Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A vibrant faith in Jesus Christ and the ability to live out CEFC’s vision and values
• Three or more years of experience providing leadership and pastoral care and a track record of helping people grow in their faith
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multisite ministry team.
• Willingness to become and remain a member of CEFC.
• Successful completion and maintenance of all background checks and clearances required by CEFC and applicable Pennsylvania law.
• A bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
