Creative Producer

Job Description/Purpose:

The Creative Producer will advance the kingdom of God by inspiring and equipping the people of Valleydale (and beyond!) through digital media. This person will produce engaging content for weekly worship services, social media, and internal communication, all while keeping Valleydale on the cutting edge of online content distribution. This individual will be a faithful and regular tithing member of the church, fully supporting the church’s theology, staff, leadership, vision and values.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Film, edit, post, and promote audio and video resources/stories for use in social media and training platforms

• In collaboration with Comms Director, manage volunteer team to appear in Valleydale branded content; (voiceover, panel discussion, story-telling, etc.)

• Assist in Technical Pre-Production: attend (and sometimes lead) concept meetings to understand the vision for each project, especially as it uniquely ministers to the congregation

• Assist Communications Director in evaluating resource effectiveness through analytics, making changes to online media presence as necessary

• Other responsibilities and projects as outlined by the Communications Director and Worship Pastor

Qualifications:

• Growing Disciple of Jesus Christ

• Faithful and regular tither

• Active member in church

Preferred Profile:

• Strong relational skills and a “church first” “team first” attitude.

• Hunger for knowledge and ability to teach self new skills in a rapidly changing digital landscape

• Adaptability and flexibility for demanding ministry schedule

• Self-starter, quick learner, team player

Required Skills:

• Expertise of macOS video and audio production/editing.

• Expertise with Blackmagic cinema cameras

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Live production experience preferred

• Multiple years serving on church staff preferred
