Children and Family Ministry Pastor

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church (MCBC) in Cochran, Georgia is seeking a new, full time Pastor for Children and Family Ministry. The position includes leading the church in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive ministry to children from birth through fifth grade, and a comprehensive, intentional ministry to the parents/grandparents of said children, that fulfills the Great Commission mandate to make disciples of all the nations.

MCBC is a growing Family of Faith located in a rural community in middle Georgia. MCBC is home to approximately 300 members and currently employs a full time Senior Pastor, part time Music Minister, full time Youth Pastor, and a part time administrator support professional. At this time, MCBC offers two worship services and classes for children during both services. MCBC is currently working to build a family life center to be used for children and family ministry and host a number of activities to include things like AWANA, UPWARD, etc.

Qualifications:

• Personal salvation experience and desire to share the gospel with children and families

• Evidence of a strong and growing relationship with Christ

• Current active membership in a church of like faith and practice, and willingness to transfer membership to MCBC.

• Experience serving in children’s ministry

-Good people skills and communication abilities

• Ability to inspire children to find life in Christ and gain knowledge of the Bible
