Associate Pastor for Youth and Families

The role of the Associate Pastor is to work in harmony with the Senior Pastor, have a firm grasp on the purpose, mission, and vision of Second Baptist, and align with key leadership teams with its mission. The Associate Pastor of Youth and Families will work alongside other staff and lay leaders to carry out this mission as a member of a team. This includes assisting with weekly service planning and design, periodic speaking, coordination of outside speakers for special events, and mission leadership and coordination.

The doctrines and beliefs of the Southern Baptist Church are outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message. Vision 2030 is a disciple-making vision that will guide all the ministries of Second Baptist for years to come. It states the Purpose, the Mission, and the Vision of this ministry, outlines how we make disciples of all nations, and gives a Missionary Framework that will help us stay on point as we glorify God in His mission.
