OBJECTIVE:

To lead the people of Story Church in Biblical, Christ-centered worship. We have 2 weekly gatherings, Sunday at 9 and 10:45 AM. We are a simple church, with a simple schedule and a simple vision. Our church life does not revolve around our building or our worship gatherings, but around our vision and mission. When we gather, it is to celebrate who God is and what He has done.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:

• Maintain God ordained priorities in your life.

• Be loyal to the Storytellers and vision of Story Church and always protect the unity of the church.

• Join a Chapter Group and hold to the Story Church Values and Imperatives

• Know, Live and Tell the Love Story of Jesus with your whole-being.

• Maintain a balance of work, home and ministry life. Ministry requires suffering on the part of the shepherd, but never at the expense of losing your job or family.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Weekly Meeting with Pastor

• Attend and participate in yearly Leadership Retreat

• Attend and help organize special ministry events such as 1st Friday, Night of Worship, etc.

• Build and Lead the Story Worship Team

• Build relationships with musicians and their families

• Develop and implement yearly strategies for Story Worship with an emphasis on Spiritual and Musical Development.

• Plan meetings, training and events that help facilitate these goals without overburdening the church schedule.

• Lead worship by singing as well as playing guitar or keys.

• Lead and train team members through practice.

• Speak the Word of God effectively, pray and encourage the church during worship gatherings.

• A working knowledge of AV equipment is a plus.

COMPENSATION:

This part-time position of 8-12 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with ability, experience and availability of the candidate. We welcome a conversation with you.
