Worship Minister: Celina, Texas

Part-Time Commitment: 10 hours per week (15 hrs on weeks with a major outreach event)

Compensation: Based on qualifications, experience team cohesion.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Worship Minister who is passionate about leading God's people in biblically faithful, theologically rich, and Spirit-filled worship. This leader must possess deep love for Christ, strong theological convictions, and a heart for joyful worship of the Triune God. The primary goal will be to help create a worship culture from the ground up that blends liturgical structure with expressive worship. Ideally, this person has experience building teams and developing other worship leaders and potentially even shares a desire to write original music for the local church. As our church grows, we envision this role expanding in scope and influence over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Worship: Plan and lead worship for Sunday gatherings, working with the lead pastor to incorporate both liturgical elements and moments of Spirit-led response.

• Develop a Worship Culture: Cultivate in our church a desire expectation for theologically rich songs and genuinely expressive worship, aiming for a wide range of human responses, such as joy, gratitude, sorrow, contemplation, and confidence.

• Team Building: Recruit, train, and shepherd worship team members (musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers).

• Liturgy Service Planning: Collaborate with the lead pastor to craft worship services that integrate Scripture, historic creeds, responsive readings, prayers, and contemporary expressions of worship.

• Theological Depth Shepherding: Teach and model a gospel-centered understanding of worship, shepherding the church into a deeper love for Christ.

• Musical Excellence Creativity: The leader must be competent in musical vocal ability, while also expressing creativity in song choice and arrangements.

• Technical Oversight: Work with AV volunteers to ensure sound production elements function properly.

Qualifications

• A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Minimum 2 years of experience leading worship in an evangelical/protestant context.

• A deep love for biblical theology and a high view of Scripture.

• Skilled musician with both vocal technical ability.

• A passion for discipleship and shepherding of a worship team.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Specific Job Expectations

• Must be or become a covenant member at Renewal City Church.

• Remain involved in the regular rhythms of our church community groups.

• Manage an annual assigned budget for the worship ministry.

• Learning our staff systems like Planning Center, Microsoft Teams, etc.

• Attend required staff events. (Unless an absence has previously been approved)

• Bi-Weekly Check-in with Director of Operations

• Once a month Check-in with Lead Pastor

• 4 paid Sundays off per year. (On top of scheduled vacations)

• Suggested 10 hours per week - This is flexible to the applicant

• Sunday: 5 hours. (7am - 12pm - Set up, Rehearsal + Service)

• Monday: 2 hours. (Staff meeting, Service plan + Sending PCO invites)

• Wednesday: 1-2 hours. (Staff Prayer + Coffee with new team member)

• Thursday: 1-2 hours (Verify worship team for Sunday + Personal rehearsing)
