Job Description

The Youth Pastor/Director will provide overall direction, coordination, and implementation of the youth ministries of the congregation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ministries designed to make fully formed followers of Jesus. 
  • Interact and communicate effectively with youth by building strong, vibrant interpersonal relationships.
  • Provide opportunities for youth to experience ministry, mission, and outreach opportunities, both within (such as camps) and outside the church.
  • Recruit, organize, train, motivate, and supervise youth ministry volunteers and leaders through regular team meetings and focused training.
  • Preach occasionally. 


Qualifications:

  • Have a sincere love for and commitment to Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior as demonstrated in a daily walk with Him. 
  • Demonstrate high levels of organization and be capable of effectively initiating, developing, promoting, and leading youth activities. 
  • A gifted leader and able to teach and apply God’s Word to youth in today’s challenging cultural setting. 
  • A creative and energetic self-starter who is passionate about sharing the Gospel with youth.
