Next Generations Pastor

Christian Life Assembly (CLA) is a vibrant, Spirit-led church committed to teach people to Love God, Love People, and Love People to God. We believe the next generation isn’t just the future of the church they are the church right now. CLA is passionate about creating life-giving environments where kids and students can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and influence their world for Christ.

We’re looking for a passionate, relational, and visionary leader to join our team as Next Generation Pastor someone who will lead and shape ministry from birth through high school with excellence and creativity.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Next Generation Pastor at CLA will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all ministry areas from birth through high school. This includes leading and developing teams for CLA Kids (birth–5th grade) and CLA Youth (6th–12th grade), partnering with families, and cultivating an environment where the next generation encounters God and grows in lasting faith.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Vision & Leadership
• Develop and implement a clear discipleship pathway for kids and students that aligns with CLA’s mission and values.
• Recruit, equip, and empower volunteer leaders for both kids and youth ministries.
• Lead and support any staff or coordinators serving within the Next Gen department.
• Youth Ministry (CLA Youth)
• Lead weekly youth services, small groups, and events that engage middle and high school students.
• Build relationships with students and mentor them in their walk with Christ.
• Provide opportunities for students to serve and lead within the church and community.
• Kids Ministry (CLA Kids)
• Oversee safe, fun, and Christ-centered environments for children on Sundays.
• Support and equip parents to be the primary faith influencers in their homes.
• Manage curriculum, volunteer scheduling, and training systems to ensure excellence and consistency.
• Family Engagement
• Partner with parents and families through communication, resources, and events that strengthen faith at home.
• Ensure smooth, intentional transitions between kids, youth, and adult ministries.
• Administration
• Manage budgets, safety policies, and ministry calendars for CLA Kids and CLA Youth.
• Collaborate with other CLA pastors and ministry leaders to integrate Next Gen ministry into the overall life of the church.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Agreement with the vision, mission, and beliefs of Christian Life Assembly.
• 3+ years of ministry leadership experience (youth and/or children’s ministry preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and empower volunteers and leaders.
• Education: Degree in ministry/theology, school of ministry, or related field (preferred but not required).
