Music Associate

The Music Associate plays an important role in the Worship and Music life of Cornerstone Church. The Music Associate provides piano music and accompaniment for weekly worship services and other activities in support of the music ministry of the church. 

Specifically, the Music Associate serves as accompanist for all worship services, accompanies the Worship Choir, serves as keyboard player for the Worship Band, facilitates and directs Worship Choir, and may initiate new music ministries within Cornerstone Church. Administrative duties include choosing and purchasing music, sending information to Admin Assistant for bulletin and church publications, managing a given budget, keeping music files, and other necessary duties to accomplish the job as set forth by the Worship Leader or Pastors.

The ideal candidate for Music Associate is a strong team player, working closely with the Worship Leader, Pastors, church musicians, and volunteers.  

Cornerstone Church of West Columbia is a new congregation that had its first worship service on January 28, 2024. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-based, Spirit-filled church. While most of our members came from one congregation, our membership consists of persons who transferred from 21 different churches and those who were unchurched. We are affiliated with the Global Methodist Church. We have 250 members and many others who have not yet joined. We currently hold one blended worship service.
