Worship Leader

Job Description: This position provides you the opportunity to further FBC Lake Alfred’s mission of developing disciples and deploying them for mission by leading them to worship through music each week. This is an amazing opportunity to work alongside a new pastor to lead and leverage the people of God at FBC Lake Alfred to fulfill the mission God has designed for them.

Responsibilities:

· Meet weekly with lead pastor to plan worship services and collaborate with him on how to carry out the church’s vision

· Lead congregation in musical worship each Sunday and Wednesday

· Lead volunteers during weekly band rehearsals

· Develop, recruit, train, schedule, and spiritually lead a team of people to execute music for worship services

· Develop and/or implement multi-media elements for church use

· Select the songs each week to play for the weekly Sunday service and Wednesday Bible study

· Lead, evaluate, and organize all singers and musicians for the church

· Oversee all AV and sound personnel (volunteer paid) for the church

· Oversee and maintain all stage lighting and worship center lighting

· Oversee and maintain all sound equipment and needs for the church

· Oversee the livestream for Sunday and Wednesday and ensure that a quality feed is broadcast on all digital platforms

Qualifications:

· Agrees with the beliefs of FBC Lake Alfred

· Bachelor of Arts preferred, but not required

· Strong leader, capable of leading experienced volunteers

· Ability to mix sound at a base level

· General understanding of all aspects of AVL

· Experience creating and/or implementing media elements such as:

o Proficiency in ProPresenter 6 or higher, using multi-tracks, and Planning Center Online

· Basic understanding of music theory, and ability to musically lead/give direction to musicians and singers

Job Status:

Part-time at 20 or 30 hours a week. Depending on the applicant’s skill set, the job can be increased to 30 hours a week with the potential for the job becoming a full-time position as the church grows.

First Baptist Lake Alfred is located right off the I4 corridor between Tampa and Orlando. Our city is just 15 miles from Disney World and strategically located to reach the many residential communities currently being constructed in this area including Lake Alfred. First Baptist Lake Alfred has a rich history of connecting with the community and calling people to follow Jesus. The church recently called a new pastor to lead the them and develop and deploy God's people to impact and invest with their neighbors.
