Technical Director

We are seeking an experienced technical candidate with production and leadership gifts to fill a full-time position as our Technical Director. Candidates should be able to lead a team of staff and volunteers to guide the Production Team to fulfill our mission to help people Know God, Grow Together, Discover Purpose and Make a Difference. We’re looking for a director who wants to use his or her production and strategic gifts to serve the Worship Department of King’s Park International Church and associated teams.


To be successful as a Technical Director, candidates should have vision, experience and exposure in live, in-person and streaming, and recorded service production. They should have project management experience, be solution-oriented and always be looking for ways to expand the reach of the gospel and King’s Park in the Triangle and beyond. Applicants should understand or seek to understand the overall messaging of King’s Park and how it can be implemented most effectively. 




  • Manage a production team of staff and volunteers to ensure the production needs of the King’s Park weekend services and special events, both in-person and online, are met. Including but not limited to
  • Maintaining and upgrading systems as needed
  • Providing on-site technical leadership at King’s Park campus on the weekends
  • Lighting design and system maintenance 
  • Recruit and train new volunteers to engage with the KP Production Team.
  • Provide ongoing training opportunities for staff and volunteer team members.
  • Serve as a staff member of the King’s Park WorshipTeam, reporting to the Worship Director and working alongside the Vocal and Instrumentalist Directors, to support the ministries of the church

Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in a technical production field and in project management with a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Prior experience with online service production
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Pro Presenter
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.
  • Desire to be proactive and reach outsiders with the Gospel.


You may also have:

  • Working knowledge regarding creative software tools, (including, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) website and social media platforms
  • Skill as a musician, vocalist or audio engineer
  • Experience with theatrical productions


  • 40+ hours per week; Sunday through Thursday business hours are key
