Associate Pastor of Worship

First Baptist of Sylvania is a growing church that has rallied back form the pandemic with energy and momentum. This church, anchored in southern Georgia, is approaching ministry in the community in a fresh and innovative way. We believe in our mission statement: Better together loving God and Others.

As a Southern Baptist Church, First Baptist Sylvania, GA is a multi-generational 200+ church searching for the man God would have serve as our full-time Associate Pastor of Worship.

FBC is a growing, missional, and family-oriented church that is the cornerstone of the county, located in Southeast Georgia.

Under the guidance of our Lead Pastor, this Associate Worship Pastor is responsible for executing a biblically based, thriving worship program with eagerness to grow at all levels.

A Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred. A degree in a related field of music or worship would be beneficial. Seminary education would be a plus, but not a requirement. At least 3 years of Experience in worship ministry is required.

A comprehensive compensation package will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits.

As an additional blessing, the church provides the optional use of a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, brick home for the Associate Pastor and his family on either a short-term or long-term basis.

This Pastor is also responsible for other duties to support FBC’s ongoing and expanding ministries as deemed necessary by the Lead Pastor.

First Baptist Church, Sylvania is located midway between Augusta and Savannah, Georgia. Sylvania is a small bedroom community 30 miles north of Statesboro, a university town which is home to Georgia Southern University.
