The Associate College Minister to Women reports to the College Pastor. This is a full-time position. The Associate College Minister to Women assists the overall mission of the College Ministry by recruiting and equipping student leaders, ministering to female students, and partnering with the College Pastor to help make disciples of college ministry students engaged in the College Ministry at First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (But Not Limited To):
- Shepherd and minister to college students (particularly females)
- Connect intentionally with female students
- Recruit, train, lead, and care for college student leaders (particularly those on the College Ministry
- Leadership Team and Student Interns/Ministry Fellows)
- Assist with carrying out College Ministry services, events, and mission trips
- Perform various administrative tasks at a high level, including but not limited to tasks such as
- tracking attendance, organizing food service requests, and submitting church calendar reservations
- and intern timesheets/payroll
- Keep track of college ministry income in its various forms including merchandise payments, program
- fees, and ministry contributions across multiple payment methods; and submitting these organized
- payments to bookkeeper/financial secretary in a timely manner
- Compile detailed and ongoing financial records through the use of Monthly Credit Card and Square
- Reports (in conjunction with the College Pastor)
- Teach in various environments (College Worship, Sunday School, Small Group Learning
- Environments, Discipleship Settings, etc.)
- Assist in connecting the College Ministry with the rest of the local church body in practical and
- spiritually significant ways that positively impact the entire church for the Kingdom of God
Qualifications and Requirements
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Agree with First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa’s Statement of Faith and commit to a lifestyle that is
- consistent with the same
- First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa Church Membership
- Agreeable, Peaceable, Teachable, and a respecter of authority (especially from a biblical perspective)
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate/seminary degree preferred
- Experience working with college students (full-time capacity, 1-2 years preferred)
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability
- Ability to adapt to a continually evolving environment
- Self-starter who is highly motivated to do all things with excellence
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Slack, Shelby, Square, Jotform and Google applications (or possesses willingness and ability to quickly become proficient in these areas)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail oriented and organized
