The Associate Pastor of Women’s Ministries requires a dynamic relational leader who is both an excellent bible study leader and a great equipper and supporter of volunteers/lay leaders. This person will work across the church supporting multiple women’s groups and events. The Associate Pastor of Women’s Ministries will pastor and lead St Andrew in the areas of adult involvement with a specific emphasis on the ministry for the women of the congregation. Leadership within this ministry takes many forms through managing and working with our lay leadership. Crucial to
this role is guiding the programs and offerings specifically for women to be a key ministry of St. Andrew as it helps to partner with every other ministry to fulfill the mission and vision of St.Andrew Methodist Church.
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership in planning and executing the activities for all women-oriented programs including, but not limited to, The Table, The Circle, women’s bible studies, and small groups.
- Oversee special events and outreach programs such as Women’s Worship Nights, and The Table
- Monitor the spiritual pulse of the church and our women’s ministries to provide offerings for moms, wives, and women in general.
- Lead collaboration efforts with men’s, student, and children ministry departments.
- Lead members in strengthening their faith or overcoming significant life change.
- Care for members through hospital visits and serving as a member of the congregational care team at St. Andrew.
- Serve on occasion as a liturgist for Saturday and Sunday worship and lead other liturgical services as needed.
- Partner with Adult Ministries for bible studies and other spiritual activities.
- Work closely with other Ministries, including Congregational Care Worship.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with SAMC staff regarding adult and women’s activities/goals/objectives.
- Host special events and guests as required.
- Maintain a strong professional image reflective of the church’s mission.

Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Religious degree and credentialing and/or experience in being a pastor.
- 2 or more years of (relevant) experience.

- Experience in leading/teaching/administering.
- Strong speaking and presentation skills
- Good active listening and willingness to help.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Organized and flexible.
