Focus on Kids and Compassion Ministries

Accountable to: Lead Pastor

Purpose: To assist Refinery Church to fulfill its vision to help people find Christ and become fully devoted followers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and work with and have direct oversite of the following Encounter Galaxy:

• Sunday First Impressions Team Manager

• Sunday Encounter Team Manager

• Sunday Kids Team Manager

• Community Team Manager

o (When a Team Manager is not in place the Associate Pastor becomes the acting Team Manager until replacement is found and trained)

• Develop and work with and have direct oversite of the following Compassion Galaxy:

• Compassion Team Manager

o (When a Team Manager is not in place the Associate Pastor becomes the acting Team Manager until replacement is found and trained)

• Promote and encourage a spirit of teamwork within the church.

• Develop leaders for all areas of ministry under your leadership.

• Work with the Sunday Kids team managers and create a world class Kids ministry.

• Work with the Compassion Team Manager and create a world class Compassion ministry.

• Follow-up on all leaders under your supervision.

• Other as requested by Lead Pastor.

Requirements:

• Recognize the importance of keeping Christ the center of the Church.

• Be comfortable leading others.

• Be well organized and able to think long range.

• Have a compassionate spirit.

• Weekly time commitment: 40+ hours.

Reporting Responsibilities:

1. Provide a weekly written report to the Lead Pastor by Tuesday at Noon

2. Attend all staff meetings

3. Participate in Staff Development

4. Work as a team – Be a Team player

5. Be involved in the body life of the church (attend and participate in “all church or all campus” functions).

6. Work within your budget.

Refinery Campus Pastor

Success Profile

Refinery Church

Accountable to and direct report to: Lead Pastor Refinery Church Network.

Purpose: To work with Refinery Campus church family and make a significant impact for Christ in the community and around the world.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Main teacher Sundays for Refinery service.

• Provides oversight and coordination for all Campus ministries.

• Provide needed prayer and council for members as needed.

• Set the example for Godly living and conduct. (2 Timothy 3)

• Cast vision and provide Godly direction and leadership for the church.

• Coordinate follow-up, Pastoral Care, and advancement of the ministry.

• Follow the Preaching series and ministry of Refinery Church.

• Obtain approval of all expenditures over $500.00 from Lead Pastor of Refinery Church Network.

• Work and communicate with other ministries that shares the Campus.

• Work with Lead Pastor of Refinery Church Network to set goals and expectations.

• Share in and lead others to fulfill the vision and strategy of Refinery Church.

• Fill out weekly report and return to Lead Pastor by Tuesday noon each week.

2. Adheres to, and strives toward the fulfillment of the 1 Timothy 3 standard as a church leader

3. Superior understanding of, and ability to lead organizational systems and achieve structural development

4. Extraordinary ability to recruit, train, inspire and lead volunteers

5. Exhibits on–going commitment to professional development

• Exceptional interpersonal skills (be people orientated).

7. Extraordinary positive attitude

8. Strong Communicator

9. Credentialed minister (or working on it) in good standing with the Southern California Network of the Assemblies of God.

• Be well organized and able to think ahead.

• Have a heart to see people grow in their relationship with Christ.
