Worship Pastor

Hyde Park Baptist Church is a multi-ethnic, contemporary church located in a vast mission field in Lumberton NC that is focused on making disciples who make disciples. We are blessed with a talented worship team consisting of musicians, vocalists, and audio/visual support. We are seeking a full-time worship pastor to lead this team, make disciples through the worship arts, and lead our congregation to a deeper level of corporate worship. As part of the pastoral leadership team this servant-leader will provide organization, vision, and alignment with the overall vision of the church.

Doctrinal

• Called by God and set apart to serve in worship ministry.

• Support the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

• Support the discipleship strategy of Hyde Park by leading the worship ministry through prayer, Bible engagement, service, fellowship, multiplication, and worship.

Education and Experience ·

• Undergraduate degree required; seminary preferred.

• 5 + years of experience.

Character

• Committed to and guided by a strong prayer life and disciplines of the faith.

• Faithfully following Jesus evidenced by leadership in the home, the church, and community.

• Personal ownership and participation in Great Commission work.

• Personable, outgoing, hardworking, self-starter, trustworthy, with strong communication skills.

Specific Skills

• Proven skills in leading corporate worship.

• Passion for developing not only the musical, vocal, and technical skills of the team, but equally passionate for making disciples.

• Skill in building a worship choir.

• Availability to preach during corporate worship gatherings at the discretion of the lead pastor.

• Provide administrative oversight in the stewardship of finances, servant leaders, and facilities.

• Proficiency in Planning Center, Ableton Live 11, ProPresenter, Praise Charts, Multitracks, Song Select (CCLI), and Flocknote is desired.
