We are seeking someone whose theological perspective aligns with Biblical standards in the Wesleyan/Methodist tradition, and who lives a lifestyle as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Candidates who are ordained and seminary educated are preferred, but consideration will be given to those with equivalent education and experience. Union Methodist Church of Bridgeville is a multi-generational church of 250+ members that was established in 1809. Our church is of the Wesleyan/Methodist tradition and stands on scripture as the inerrant word of God, with the Apostle's Creed and Nicene Creed as key statements of our belief.
Our Sunday worship service is a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. We have programs for all ages, including an active youth group, 8-week summer day camp program for children, a women's and men's ministry, Sunday School program for all ages, and an active music ministry. Most ministries in the church are led by a strong team of volunteers.
The community of Bridgeville is a picturesque small town with new housing developments and commercial expansion taking place which offer exciting opportunities for ministry in and for our community. Our church is central to our community, both in physical location and our outreach.
