Job Description
Full or Part Time Minister Advertisement
Tomahawk Christian Church, with an average morning worship attendance of 35-50, is seeking a full-time minister who holds to the principles of the Restoration Movement. We are located in Berkeley County West Virginia, the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, with a population of close to 140,000, an increase of 13% since 2020. This is a 90-minute drive from Washington, DC, Baltimore, Maryland, and Harrisburg, Pa.
Compensation consists of salary, parsonage, vacation time, convention time and allowance with continuing education expense assistance. These items are negotiable based on education and experience.
In addition to the general ministerial duties of preaching, teaching, visitation, and church service camp participation, there is an expectation for a willingness and desire to work to grow the youth age group (middle school to high school).
Part-time expectations would be 10-20 hours to cover these duties:
Sunday Sermons
Sunday School/Bible Study
Weddings/Funerals
Visiting/Communion to sick members
General Admin duties working with the church secretary
