Family and Discipleship Ministry Assistant

The Family and Discipleship Assistant provides administrative and secretarial support to the ministers and program staff in the students, children and discipleship ministries of the church and assists with general office secretarial duties as needed. 

Specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to:

• Primarily helping with Snyder’s Student ministry. Support and assistance with Snyder student registrations, website, money collection, calendar, and other assistant items. Including but not limited to:

o  Event Registration and set up, updating the student ministry website, answering emails and phone calls concerning the student ministry events, helping organize and distribute information for parent ministry events, and performing student ministry bookkeeping tasks.

• Secretarial support to the student, children, and discipleship ministries with organization, communication, and correspondence
• General office duties – answering phone calls, greeting visitors, etc.
• Part of the Ministry assistant team.

This position is full-time hourly.

Qualifications:

• A heart for ministering to youth and children
• Team Player
• Excited about the mission and membership of Snyder Memorial.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to use general office equipment (Printer, Computer, Phone, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, some experience with data management software, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Great communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt.

Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM M, T, TH; 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM Wednesday; 8:30-1:00 PM Friday. September to April 5:30-7:30 pm Sunday evenings to provide administrative assistance with Life Groups. (Weekly hours will be adjusted.)
