Job Description

The role of the Campus Director is to come alongside the Campus Pastor to provide leadership and oversight to the ministries and operations for a specific campus. This position requires a firm grasp of the beliefs and strategy of Mission City Church, and the ability to align staff and key leadership teams with the church’s mission, vision, and values. The Campus Director also helps to ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church are being upheld in each area of ministry. This role has a strong ministry and administrative focus working with the Campus Pastor to lead their staff and campus.

The Campus Director will report directly to the Campus Pastor for leadership and performance management. 

Essential Responsibilities 

Ensure environments are prepared and executed with excellence – including, but not limited to, Sunday mornings and events throughout the week

Help the Campus Pastor organize and lead staff meetings with Campus Staff providing supervision, direction, and guidance in all ministries that fall under campus leadership

Assist the Campus Pastor in leading and discipling campus staff and their ministries

Recruit, train, and guide LifeGroup leaders while creating and implementing new groups depending on campus needs

Maintain Campus calendars, plan for Campus events, and execute Global events at their campus – Starting Point, baptisms, special events

Connect with guests, leaders, and volunteers

Provide administrative leadership for the campus

Assist Campus Pastor in managing budgets, both at the campus and ministry level

Attend and participate in all required events, meetings, and activities for Mission City Church, including all Worship Services, major holidays, staff meetings, Covenant Member Meetings, Prayer and Worship nights, special events, trainings, Staff workdays, and Campus events. 

Commit to Covenant Membership at Mission City Church, supporting the ministries of the church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income, and living a life that upholds the mission and core values of Mission City Church

Competencies

Administration – Demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, and implement ministry programming, discipleship, and outreach. A strong ability to sustain multiple projects and events simultaneously with consistency and excellence. 

Communication – Can effectively and clearly communicate with guests, leaders, volunteers, and Mission City Staff. Able to communicate in a variety of ways in a timely manner.

Detail Oriented and Organizational Skills – Displays skills in implementing, maintaining, and following through on Mission City Church processes and procedures ensuring people are engaged, cared for, informed, and connected. Ability to think through event details, work on multiple projects, and integrate multiple perspectives into a cohesive plan.

Leadership Skills and Leader Development – Ability to come alongside the Campus Pastor in providing to leadership to Campus Staff and volunteers. Passionate about recruiting and equipping LifeGroup leaders and volunteers. 

Personable – Serves as one of the main connection points for guests and people within the campus. Should be energetic and passionate about what God is doing and places a high value on building relationships.

Spiritual Discipline – Has a personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ with regular practice of spiritual disciplines, committed daily quiet time with God, participation in a LifeGroup and Discipleship Group, personal evangelism inside and outside of the church, and living a life above reproach and filled with integrity. 

Vision – Able to take the vision and mission of Mission City Church and communicate it effectively to staff and leaders across a variety of ministries.
