Role Overview
The Connections Director/Pastor is responsible for moving people from new to fully engaged in the mission of the church through building teams, systems and opportunities for people to connect in community and use their gifts to leave a lasting impact.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all assimilation moving people from first time guest to fully connected
- Build a churchwide volunteer recruiting, onboarding and equipping system that will provide a seamless pathway for people to use their gifts and passions across every ministry
- Build scalable systems that provide a clear pathway for people to be baptized
- Build systems that help new Christians take initial steps in their relationship with Jesus
- Manage churchwide database creating effective digital systems for managing and tracking people’s engagement with Northern Hills
- Oversee host teams for weekend services building a world class culture of hospitality from the parking lot to the seat
- Role will expand as church grows and opportunities arise
Skills
- High-level leadership gifts with proven ability to recruit and build teams
- Strong technological savvy. Will be expected to become highly proficient in Planning Center and other digital tools
- Passion for ministry systems and structures that empower volunteers to use their gifts to do the work of ministry. Must have a mind for scaling ministry
- Relational and enjoy working with people while also loving organization and details
- Must be a builder and have a high level of initiative
