Your New Church Family

Nestled in the rolling countryside of Harrison Co. Kentucky you will find Indian Creek Christian Church. A faith community that has been in existence since 1803 and birthed under the influence of Barton W. Stone and the Restoration Movement. This history has allowed Indian Creek to be a constant spiritual presence in Harrison, Bourbon, and Nicholas Counties, and allowed hundreds of families to come to know Jesus over their 220 years of existence.

You will notice on your first Sunday a smiling and engaging group of people that call Indian Creek their spiritual home. You will shake hands with individuals that are new to the faith and freshly following Jesus all the way to families that have a lineage that stretches back to being founding members. Come hungry because Indian Creek takes “breaking bread” seriously!

Under the leadership of newly hired Lead Minister, Adam Wilson, ICCC is poised to honor its heritage by making sure everyone that walks in the doors feels welcome and sent back out on mission to make disciples.

Does this sound like you?

ICCC is in search of a biblically grounded, faithfully firm individual to lead our Worship Ministry. If you see yourself as having the heart of a shepherd, gifted in leading multiple generations in worship and having a passion to see people connect to God through song in a way they never thought possible, we want to talk to you! If you care more about building relationships and encouraging participation than getting the perfect sound mix or hitting all the right notes, then you are the individual that we are looking for.

What we are bringing to the table

On your first day in the office, you will notice that all the ministerial offices are located in an office suite. You will get the use of your own private office to practice, close the door and pray for the church family or meet with individuals and volunteers. No need to worry about going and finding a desk or other office equipment, we have you covered with all that ready for when you arrive.

One of the greatest things we can bring to the table is the committed group of volunteers that are already in place. The dedicated team of volunteers have passionately led the Worship Ministry prior to your arrival. We are excited for you to lead this team of volunteers and equip them to take the ministry to the next level.

What we are asking you to bring to the table

As the leader of our Worship Ministry, we are looking for you to create an engaging environment in each worship service where our current members can continue to grow and new individuals that walk-in feel welcome. Leading a Worship Ministry is a lot of work with many moving and deeply creative elements. We don’t want you to do everything yourself. Rather, we are asking you to lead and equip the volunteers of the Worship Ministry to ensure the job gets done, because there is a difference between “doing the job” and “ensuring the job gets done”. Ministry burnout is real and one way to avoid it is to equip the volunteers in your care and delegate ministry responsibilities.

We deeply desire that our community would know Jesus, and we want you to partner with us as we carry out that mission. For that to take place, we are looking for you to move into our community and put down roots to live life alongside everyone in the tri-county area.

For more information, check out the Job Description (link at the top) where we go into detail about the goals and responsibilities of the role. We want to make sure you know exactly who we are and how you can see success when you arrive on your first day in the office.

To apply, please submit your resume, a recent video of you leading worship, and any other applicable accomplishments that show your leadership, heart, and creativity to our search director JR Horn at [email protected].

About Indian Creek Christian Church

Indian Creek Christian Church was planted in 1803 under the influence of Barton W. Stone. The church was organized as one of the original members of the Springfield Presbytery. The mission of ICCC is to cultivate new life in Christ by helping people ENCOUNTER God, CONNECT to His Word, and SERVE the mission of Jesus daily. Though we celebrate our past, we look forward to the future and can't wait to see how God will continue to use His church at Indian Creek.
