Purpose of Position:
Faith Community highly values ministry to the next generation. A Youth Pastor will provide spiritual oversight and leadership for ministry to students (7th grade thru College). The Youth Pastor will be a member of the pastoral team and will operate under the direction of the Elders and pastoral leadership.
General Expectations:
- A love for God, His Word, and His people (especially students).
- An ability to preach, teach, and minister with Biblically sound doctrine.
- A clear call from God toward pastoral ministries.
- A servant’s heart that is humble, honest, and willing to work hard.
- A positive attitude and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Prior ministry experience (1-2 years) and education (Bachelors) preferred.
Primary Duties:
- Shepherd and equip students approximately 12-22 years old. This includes spiritual oversight, prayer, preaching, teaching, counseling, outreach, and visitation to students in this age-group.
- Lead our youth ministry team and youth ministry programming.
- Support, encourage, and communicate with the parents and guardians of the students.
- Support and partner with campus ministries in the local school districts and foster healthy relationships with local school administration.
- Provide general assistance to the pastoral staff when requested. This includes opportunities for preaching, visitations, etc. to the corporate body.

Faith Community Church is a growing church in rural northwest Iowa. Faith is a Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching church with a very vibrant and active congregation of all ages.
