Direct Report: Executive Pastor
Summary: The Kids Director partners with parents and volunteer servant leaders to take children (birth through 5th grade) one step closer to becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ. This is done through Sunday and Wednesday discipleship programming, equipping parents to lead out in family discipleship, events, and other initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Kids
- Lead out in the spiritual investment in children.
- Oversee the development of gospel-centered, biblical curriculum used at Kids Point (Sundays) and Kids Connect (Wednesdays).
- Strategically shepherd children through spiritual next steps.
- Provide leadership development opportunities.
Parents
- Develop intentional relationships with parents.
- Provide equipping resources to encourage family discipleship in the home.
- Follow up with parents who are new guests.
Servant Leaders
- Responsible for recruitment and development of servant leaders.
- Ensure that servant leaders are equipped to consistently fulfill ministry expectations.
- Ability to cast vision for how kids servant leaders fulfill the broader mission of CPC.
- Create systems of clear communication and detailed organization for kids, parents, and servant leaders.
Other regular expectations and responsibilities of a CPC staff member.
Leadership Qualifications:
- A clear understanding and acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ and agreement with CPC’s Core Beliefs.
- Meet all expectations and requirements of membership.
- Progressive pursuit of growth in Christian maturity and character (1 Tim. 3, Titus 2).
- Own the church’s mission through personal evangelistic and discipling relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with staff members, other leaders, and members.
- Has the posture of a learner, and gives and receives feedback in a way that is consistent with Christian maturity.
- Pursues excellence in all areas with the heart of honoring God and inspiring people.
- Ability to build intentional relationships that leads people to take next steps.
