Job Title - Director of Student Ministries

Status: Full-Time

Supervisor: Senior Pastor

Direct Reports: Nursery Coordinator and the Director of Children’s Ministries

Summary: The Director of Student Ministries is responsible for the overall supervision, management, and design of ministry with students at Zachary UMC (birth-12th grade), with hands-on responsibility in Youth Ministry (7th-12th grade). This person would work with the Nursery Coordinator and the Director of Children's Ministries (K-6th grade) to establish an overall discipleship process for students at ZUMC.

Desired Outcome: The Director of Student Ministries must be an advocate for the children and youth and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of their ministries by developing a comprehensive program which focuses on the spiritual growth, development of Christian values, and mission and outreach to our community. The Director of Student Ministries must build relationships with youth, parents, and local school leadership, and help educate the congregation about the hopes, concerns, and needs of youth in the local church and community.
