Campus Worship Director

Foundry Church

Job Description

Top 3 of Foundry’s Holland Campus Worship Director:

  1. Providing weekly worship.
  2. Raising up musicians, vocalists and worship leaders for our campus services and future venues/campuses.
  3. Hands on implementation of the creative vision of the church and campus.

Nuts and Bolts of Top 3:

  • Providing music on a weekly basis for all services. This includes scheduling the worship bands in a balanced rotation, and does not assume that the worship director is at each service or leading each service.
  • Aligns to the vision, mission, values and brand standards of the Foundry Church.
  • Maturing the church body’s understanding of what worship is, and how it is part of a Christian life.
  • Volunteer leadership: will schedule all worship team volunteers for services, recruit volunteers for the team, maintain volunteers, train and develop volunteers by providing constructive feedback for improvement during rehearsals and services.
  • A hands-on and active member of the Campus Creative Team, working to provide worship in forms other than music in order to help carry out and enhance the worship and vision for the services.
  • Service & event related: ensures that the volunteers have all the needed elements for rehearsal and services.
  • Provide, either through self involvement or team members, music and worship for events other than regular worship services (holidays, funerals, special events).
  • Develop and implement a rhythm of team collaboration for volunteer training.
  • Ensures all instruments are in proper working order.
  • Assist in the development of the departmental budget and manage spending to budget.

You would be a great fit if you:

  • Are a person who is demonstrating a consistent and spiritual growth in Jesus Christ and are deeply rooted in Him. Transformation is a value at the Foundry!
  • Are able to live into and affirm the Foundry’s core beliefs, mission and values by word and example.
  • You have a drive and hunger to see God worshiped in Spirit and truth, and are not devoted to a specific worship style, but rather the goal that all Christians may participate in worship and Jesus Christ would be glorified.
  • You have a desire to serve others in the body of Christ, and see them be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
  • You have a strong desire to Make Jesus Known.
  • You are musically proficient and have a skilled level of vocal ability along with the talent to lead a team from a guitar or piano.
  • Relationships matter to you. Relationships with the volunteers and investing into them to grow them spiritually and in their giftedness. Relationships with the staff to engage in a team atmosphere.
  • If you feel called to the Foundry Holland Campus and it could be your church home for yourself and your family.

Here’s why this (and us!) would be a great fit for you:

  • Everything is centered around the Word of God. Our beliefs, mission, vision, values & culture. Check it all out on our website!
  • We work very hard, give things our best effort, sometimes fall down but we pick ourselves up with the help of the team and try again and again. On the flip side, we have a ton of fun – and are an amazing group of people!
  • We have a large creative box to “play” in for our work that gives freedom to create, try and repeat.
  • Our hands stay open to what God wants to put in and what he wants to take out.
  • We write in pencil (not sharpie) in all that we do and sometimes need a bigger eraser than lead.
  • Our team and church are here based on calling and will seek to Know God and Make Him Known in all that we do.

Role Details:

  • This position is full-time and does require consistent weekend and evening hours.
  • If interested, please send your resume and video links of your leading worship to [email protected].

About Foundry Church

WHAT DOES THE FOUNDRY BELIEVE?

We believe Jesus, the Son of God, entered our broken world and lived a life that reveals God to us and tells us who we are: beings created by God in God’s image who suffer in a broken world.

Jesus lived a life of perfect obedience to God and suffered and died on a cross to create the way for people to be reconnected to God, as we were created to be. God brought Jesus to life again—defeating death—and Jesus returned to his Father in heaven.

Because Jesus died and rose again, we can live in hope for a better life in this world and in eternity with God.

To connect with this new life and hope, we need to recognize that we have big issues that we can’t fix ourselves, accept Christ’s claim that he is the Son of God and the way to new life, and allow God to lead us into a new relationship with him.
