TITLE OF POSITION: Next Generation Pastor

REPORTS TO: Discipleship Director, Kelly Peterman

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/week

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Next Generation Pastor is responsible to oversee the growth, development, and discipleship of kids and students at Generation Church. This position requires a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of Generation and the ability to build teams within them. The Next Generation Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader and role model for the kids and students within GenKids and GenStudents and leaders serving within these ministries. The Next Generation Pastor will facilitate relational connection and spiritual growth of kids and students through weekly gatherings, groups, leader teams, and special events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


GenStudents


● Recruit and develop GenStudents Leader Team to meet the needs of the students.

● Provide leadership, direction, and training for all GenStudent Leader Team members.

● Responsible for weekly programming for both middle and high school students.

● Review, purchase, and oversee the implementation of all curriculum and supplies for both small and large group teaching environments.

● Effectively teach the Bible to students through weekly programming (verbal and interpersonal).

● Responsible for the aesthetic, organization, and cleanliness of the environment and atmosphere.

● Implement and develop programming and resources for discipleship of students.

● Equip parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their students.

● Develop content and social media engagement.

● Influence, organize, and shape the GenStudents events (TRO, Retreats, etc.).

● Establish and maintain influence within the local middle and high schools; this means students, teachers, and coaches. 



GenKids

● Recruit and develop GenKids Leader Team to meet the needs of the GenKids Ministry.

● Provide leadership, direction, and training for all GenKids Leader Team members.

● Review, purchase and oversee the implementation of all curriculum and supplies for both large and small group teaching environments.

● Implement and develop weekly programming and resources for discipleship of kids.

● Equip parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their kids.

● Foster relationships with parents; partnering with them to equip them to spiritually lead their kids.

● Responsible for the aesthetic, organization, and cleanliness of the environment and atmosphere.
