Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Director provides ministry leadership and care to the production team and oversees all production elements of Journey Church throughout the week and during weekend services. The Production Director works to ensure that production (including audio, visuals, stage elements, lighting and broadcast) is done at a high level in every area of Journey Church. The Production Director will work closely with the Lead Pastor and the Worship Pastor/Leader to assist them in carrying out their ministry and creating consistent dynamic worship environments and experiences for Journey Church.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma with some college preferred
  • Preferred 3 years experience in church production including: sound, lighting and broadcast
  • Must have a vibrant and evident walk with Jesus Christ
  • Demonstrate a desire to adopt and champion Journey’s vision and values
  • A proven ability to recruit, train and work with a volunteer team
  • A desire to see those around them grow in their knowledge and relationship with Jesus
  • The ability to be a self starter with a drive to do things with excellence
  • Demonstrate proficiency with service planning inside of a team environment to compliment the team’s goals.
  • A general competency in production programs such as but not exclusively: Planning Center’s Services, Ableton, ProPresenter, Vista, DLive, WAVES, Dante, Resi






ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES


  • Recruit and equip team members to develop and implement processes and structures to successfully produce weekly services and special events.
  • Oversee all aspects of production equipment, acquisition and maintenance throughout the facility.
  • Participate in the planning and preparing for weekly services and special events.
  • Lead production meetings and scheduling of volunteers for weekly services and special events.
  • Work with the Creative Team in planning, designing and preparing for stage sets including leading in construction, lighting design and stage layout for sermon series, special events, and church-wide emphases.
  • Be a positive team member through attending and participating in staff meetings, trainings and retreats.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor
