Overview
This full-time staff pastor of Bethel Christian Church in Parma will primarily oversee and provide direct leadership to our middle and high school students. This pastor will also serve as our Worship Pastor. We are looking for a pastor who will be loyal to the vision and staff in order to protect the unity of our church family. Our team values trust, communication, and initiative.
Student Ministry Responsibilities
- To lead the youth ministry program for 6th-12th grade students in large groups, small groups, and one-on-one ministry.
- To teach God’s Word in a relatable way with anointed excellence.
- To recruit, train, and organize a youth leadership team.
- Encouraging students to participate in their school campus ministry clubs.
- To partner effectively with parents for the training of their students.
- To maintain, track, and adhere to a budget related to youth ministry areas.
- To plan and lead retreats, trips, and other special events that provide spiritual growth opportunities for our students.
- To create and implement proper promotion for all events and programming.
- To oversee the youth ministry departments (Fine Arts, Bible Quiz, Worship Team, Missions, Life Groups) as the Lord leads.
- To possess a strong heart for students and families.
- To develop and foster the students to have a heart for the lost, including participating in outreaches, acts of service, and speed the light.
- Serve in harmony with the Next Generation Pastor to develop healthy disciples of Jesus.
Worship Responsibilities
- The worship pastor will oversee the general music programs of the church in consultation with the lead pastor.
- Develop, manage, and train worship teams for Sunday Morning Worship.
- Oversee, develop, and shepherd the church's worship department and tech team.
- Coordinate special services with the staff, worship, and tech teams for Christmas Eve, Easter, and other special services.
- Manage musical instruments and their maintenance.
- Manage computers, sound, and video equipment used in worship.
- Manage volunteer schedules for worship and tech team.
- Preach and lead communion as requested.
Other Responsibilities
- To connect relationally with church families and guests.
- To assist in the follow-up and assimilation of all first-time guests.
- Assisted in furthering the ministries of Bethel Christian as requested by the lead pastor.
Education and Experience
- Have a solid rooting in Assemblies of God theology.
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a field relating to Biblical Studies, Theology, or Church Ministry.
- Demonstrate a passion for ministry and helping others grow in their relationship with God.
- The applicant will have a good reputation, actively live a Godly life above reproach, and be qualified for ministry as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Applicant should be licensed or ordained with the Assemblies of God or actively pursuing credentials with the Assemblies of God.
- The candidate will be a team player, have a strong work ethic, and desire to see people grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord.
