First Baptist Church Meridianville is located 10 miles N. of downtown Huntsville in beautiful northern, AL. We are a rapidly growing multi-generational church that is passionate about passing our faith in Christ from one generation to the next. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as the Youth/Young Adult Minister to lead, disciple, and empower our next generation of leaders and disciples.

Role Overview:

As the Youth/Young Adult Minister, you will oversee and execute ministry initiatives aimed at encouraging outreach, discipleship, and ministry engagement among youth (grades 7-12) and young adults (ages 18-25).

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee discipleship and ministry initiatives for youth and young adults in alignment with the church’s vision.

  • Lead and teach Bible studies, incorporating expositional “Word-Driven” teaching and preaching.

  • Plan, organize, and implement ministry programs to engage youth and young adults.

  • Equip and empower volunteers to assist in ministry efforts.

  • Utilize technology and social media platforms effectively to engage with youth and young adults in the digital realm.

  • Demonstrate a passion for personal evangelism and outreach.

Qualifications:

  • A born-again believer with a maturing relationship with Christ.

  • Demonstrated pursuit of leadership characteristics as listed in 1 Timothy 3.

  • A sense of “calling” to serve God in this position.

  • Theological and ministry training, with studies in theology, Christian education, youth ministry, or young adult ministry.

  • Two or more years of experience in leading and teaching youth ministry programs.

  • Ability to raise up, disciple, equip, and empower others.

  • Sensitivity to the needs and pressures of teens and young adults, with knowledge of potential solutions.

  • Proficiency in technology and social media platforms.

  • Personal subscription to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
