Principles Guiding Worship at CFF

We resolve that worship is a disciple of Christ’s activity in ascribing worth to God - who alone is worthy of glory, honor, and praise[1] - for who He is[2] and for what He has done[3]. Corporately, we participate in worship through song[4], prayer[5], the giving of our tithes and offerings[6], the public sharing of testimonies[7], the observances of Baptism[8] and Communion[9], and the reading and Biblical exposition of God’s Word[10].

We resolve that when governing the selection of worship music, we should ask:

  1. What is it teaching? Is it theologically correct?
  2. Are people singing?
  3. When appropriate, does it fit with the season or themes of the service?
