Lake Bible Church is seeking candidates for the role of Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor role is a cornerstone for Lake Bible (LBC). Aside from strong personal belief and convictions that align to the vision and mission of the church, the senior pastor must be a seasoned leader with a strong people orientation who can set vision as well as execute it. Within the Biblical structure set forward for churches, the Senior Pastor will work closely with the Elder Board, will coach and develop pastoral staff, will maintain fiscal oversight and will shepherd the congregation through both preaching and personal connection.

LBC is seeking a servant-leader with a true calling to ministry to grow and develop the hearts of His people through deep Biblical knowledge that focuses on application. A Senior Pastor who has the charisma to lead but is equally comfortable as teacher and mentor, grounded in prayer and learning, will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

·        Prepare and present weekly sermons, grounded in the Word of God

·        Coach and develop pastoral and church staff

·        Provide counsel and advice to Elder Board

·        Greet and follow up with visitors to LBC

·        Visit and edify the sick, shut in and members in crisis

·        Conduct teaching/mentoring outside of Sunday morning (Care Groups, classes)

·        Address concerns of members, staff

·        Provide Biblically based counsel for LBC members and attenders

·        Represent Gospel of Christ (and LBC) as an exemplary community member

 Preferred Qualifications

Education

·        Bachelor’s degree required; M.Div degree from an accredited Theological Seminary preferred; preference may be given to candidates with TH.M.

Experience

·        Previous Senior Pastor experience strongly preferred

·        Demonstrated leadership skills, successful history leading and developing teams

·        Committed to and able to demonstrate giftedness in expository preaching

·        Outstanding communication skills, both with Elders/staff and congregation
