General Description

The Next Generation Minister leads CPC’s efforts to REACH the kids, students, and families of our community through the teams and ministries that provide for the evangelism and discipleship of preschool, elementary, middle school and high school students. This role specifically manages the following positions:

  • Director of Middle School Ministries

  • Director of High School Ministries

  • Director of CPC Kids

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and alignment of ministries with students and kids that supports CPC’s REACH vision.

  • Provide strategic and pastoral leadership and support to ministry leaders and teams in assigned areas (Kids, Middle School, and High School).

  • Manage assigned ministry resources including: calendar, budget, facility, personnel, and communications.

  • Develop and manage Student Ministry programs, classes, camps, conferences, mission trips, church wide events, discipleship and other relationships to fulfill our REACH vision.

  • Ensure the effective training, building, and leading of required volunteer teams.

  • Ensure quality and consistency in environments, programming and execution of Student Ministries and CPC Kids.

  • Foster a healthy partnership with parents in the discipleship and care of their children and teens.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the Next Gen budget and ensure its proper stewardship.

  • Serve and support CPC’s Pastoral Team, providing broader leadership to the church as needed.

  • Preach when scheduled, teach as needed.

  • Affirm and uphold the principles reflected in the EPC Book of Order, the CPC Leadership

  • Handbook, the CPC Employee Handbook and the CPC Human Resources Policies andProcedures.

Qualifications

  • A deep sense of calling, strong ministry gifts, and proven skills-especially in the areas of Leadership, Administration, Teaching, Communication.

  • Theological training and education

  • 2 years church ministry experience

Terms of Employment

  • 40 hours/week-Exempt

  • Salary Range: $90,000-$100,00 annual base salary
