Faith Community Church is seeking a person who is called and gifted in praise leading and organization of worship support systems. This is a serious entry level opportunity for someone who is ready to lead and oversee the worship ministry of a church of 80-100 people. This is a part-time position of 10 -15 hours weekly. The successful candidate will be a mature born-again Christian who is musically and theologically trained, plays guitar or piano and can relocate to the Racine, WI area.
POSITION: Worship Leader
HOURS: Part-time (10-15 hrs./wk)
PAY: $225 - $500/bi-weekly
RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Provide leadership in congregational worship
A. Lead the congregation in worship at each service by overseeing and leading the Praise Team(s)
1. Maintain an awareness of music repertoire: past, present & new songs.
2. Develop worship team(s) by:
a. Identifying and developing gifted vocalists and musicians
b. Leading rehearsals for cohesion of the song set for each service
c. Instilling within each member a passion and vision for true worship
d. Imparting an awareness of and encouraging a commitment to community
3. Selecting & preparing weekly worship set
B. Plan and coordinate corporate worship for:
1. Weekend services (in conjunction with preaching topic whenever possible)
a. Other special services (Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Funerals etc.)
b. Special Music when appropriate
c. Arrange for special music when planned
(1) Assist special music participants in practicing, setting up accompaniment, and presentation of ministry
(2) Search for and encourage new talents for ministry
d. Arrange for regular maintenance of church-owned instruments
2. Knowledge of planning software such as Planning Center is a plus.
II. Oversee and Maintain the Worship Tech Area Volunteers
A. Coordinating Audio, Video, & Streaming as it relates to worship services
B. Scheduling for each position
C. Knowledge of basic sound mixing is a plus
D. Knowledge of presentation software such as ProPresenter or Proclaim is a plus.
III. Cultivate your personal passion for worship thru things such as

A. Submit a proposed budget to the Session each May
B. Approve check requests for worship area
V. Understand this position is subordinate to the Senior Pastor. Upon his occasional request you may be called upon to assist in other areas of the ongoing care and shepherding of the congregation.
