FBC Rincon is currently seeking a Communications Director. We are looking for someone to lead an effective communications plan to keep our church family and larger community informed and inspired about who we are and what we do. The Communications Director will serve a vital role on our team, working with our staff and key volunteers to ensure that we communicate digitally and in print in a manner that faithfully reflects our vision and identity. The Communications Director is a comprehensive position with the opportunity to be part-time or full-time. The Communications Director will report to the Lead Pastor in coordination with the Personnel Team. Benefits include a competitive salary (range of $18.00 - $22.00 per hour), paid time off, flexible scheduling, and a relaxed and friendly office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy — Develop, implement, and oversee a communication strategy to inform and inspire church and community members regarding key developments at FBC Rincon.

• Multimedia Production — oversee the creation of media elements including videos, photos, emails, graphics, texts, copywriting, presentations, printed materials, podcast materials, etc.

• Social Media — oversee FBC Rincon’s social media platforms and accounts.

• Website — production of content, design, and ongoing maintenance of our website.

• Messaging — assist in producing and updating weekly print and digital communications.

• Branding — maintain consistency regarding the brand image of FBC Rincon.

• Advertising — create and manage digital and physical advertisements.

• Worship — oversee recording and photographing of worship services and church events.

• Budgeting — Manage budgets for media equipment and advertising.

• Other — Coordinate occasional special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Alignment with FBC Rincon’s purpose, core values, and statement of faith.

• Ability to work well with others.

• Ability to plan and work on multiple projects in a deadline-intensive environment.

• Related work experience and strong portfolio required. Related education preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in website design, photography, videography, graphic design, and social media management.
