Senior Pastor

Crossroads Community Church is a church in the heart of downtown Halstead, KS. This is a small church that is primed for growth, as we have recently paid off our church building. We are a community of believers who know that God has a pastor out there to lead us into the next season. We currently make use of the video teaching through Life.Church, but we are open to the possibility of live teaching being a secondary or primary teaching mode in the future. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a pastor who has an unwavering commitment to his relationship with Jesus and personal growth. The pastor that will take Crossroads Community Church into the future will have a clear calling into vocational ministry, and be able to communicate this calling to the congregation. He will be mature spiritually and emotionally, and will have incredible interpersonal skills. He will be community-minded, and will have a heart to reach the unsaved, as well as the underprivileged. The Crossroads pastor will be an encourager, self-starter, and passionate about the health and growth of the church. He possesses the skills to lead with vision, and is a team-builder. We are looking for a man who is humble, teachable, and passionate-a true servant leader.

We prefer a pastor who has a ministry degree or formal ministry training. We desire our pastor to be willing to commit t continued education. The senior pastor candidate will be in complete agreement with Crossroads Statement of Belief.

OVERVIEW OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The senior pastor of Crossroads will be responsible for:
• Planning and facilitation of weekend services
• Planning and performance of weddings, funerals, baptisms, and child dedications, as needed
• Oversight and development of church ministries
• Working with Leadership Team to create a vision for the church
• Recruiting and supporting volunteers and ministry leaders
• Developing plans for discipleship and community involvement and evangelism
• Providing pastoral care for the families of Crossroads Community Church
• Being involved in the Halstead Community representing the church

Halstead is a community of 2,200 people located 20 miles outside of Wichita. Life in Halstead consists of a wonderful blend of small-town friendliness and charm, safety, and great quality of life while also providing access to services and amenities normally associated with much larger communities.

We have great school systems, several parks, recreational options, new housing and an active downtown area. Halstead is a place you will want to call home.

Pay: $41,000.00 per year
