Minister of Music

About the Position

This full-time position works closely with, and answers directly to, the Senior Pastor. In addition to the general job description below, the Minister of Music is required to be a mature Christian in doctrine, temperament, and behavior, as generally outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

Job Responsibilities Duties

• Plan, prepare, and lead worship services for regular and special worship services,

• Rehearse and lead choir, praise team, and worship band for worship services

• Help arrange and provide (if requested) music for weddings, funerals, and other church events as needed

• Provide oversight for a fully graded choir program (preschool, children, and students) including direction of the student choir

• Supervise full-time media director who oversees lighting, video, and audio ministries

• Plan, present, and administer the annual budget for the music and worship ministry

• Help provide music and worship leadership for annual events, such as student camp

• Perform, as a member of the ministerial staff, general duties related to congregational care

• All other duties as assigned by the pastor
