REDEMPTION HILLS CHURCH WORSHIP PASTOR
Job Description
1. PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Redemption Hills Church Worship Pastor will work in concert with the Sr. Pastor, Elders, Ministry Leaders, and Audio/Visual Production Team of Redemption Hills Church to lead the Sunday worship experience including certain days that require praise and worship music such as the RHC monthly prayer night. The Worship Pastor will oversee all details of the Worship gathering as it pertains to the musical experience while being supported by the musician pool, A/V technical team and Senior Pastor to ensure the disciples for Christ worship our one true Lord, Jesus Christ, while supporting the vision and mission of Redemption Hills Church.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship Leadership
1. Leads the strategic and musical aspects of all worship activities at RHC.
2. Leads the musician decisions, song selections, and development of all musicianship and
3. Directs and leads the praise band practices.
4. Works in concert with the audio/visual production leaders; being supported by those leaders and technicians to ensure the highest quality of worship possible.
5. Leads the assessment and budgeting of all worship capital expenses pertaining to musicianship for RHC worship experiences and will participate as needed in Elder meetings.
Abilities
1. A musician as well as a spiritual leader with people leadership skills.
2. A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation, and especially for those in attendance at worship services.
3. Possesses relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a growing church in potentially multi-service fellowship.
4. Skilled in musicianship, worship administration, interpersonal relationships and communications techniques.
5. Skilled in the use of technology in the worship experience and in the use of sound, computers, power point, video projection and Planning Center as a scheduling tool.
6. A self-starter.
7. A team player with a positive attitude.
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors
1. Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading and memorization, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession, simplification of life, submission to God, and table fellowship.
2. Willing to spend time developing relationships with lost people to be personally effective in pursuing the Great Commission and helping the church to do the same.
3. Able to lead worship with great boldness and without fear.
4. A passionate desire to see the Saints grow in both the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
5. An ability to lead and develop musicians in a church setting.
6. A desire to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ communicated through song in an effective and modern fashion.
4. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: Prior experience as a Worship leader and relevant Christian training. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
2. Concern for the body of Christ while possessing a passion for worship and communicating the message of the gospel.
3. An individual with a spirit of submission, eagerness, flexibility, a teachable spirit and a sense of humor.
4. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
5. Commitment to moral purity.
6. Commitment to the Vision, Mission, Vision, and worship philosophy of RHC.
7. Demonstrated excellence as a gifted leader of worship with a concrete theology of worship that propels the congregation forward Biblically.
5. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
1. Reports to the Senior Pastor with oversight by the Church Elders.
2. Participates in Senior Pastor staff and extended ministry leadership meetings.
3. Occasionally required to work with and report to Elders as needed or required.
