Pastor

First Baptist Church of St. Matthews is prayerfully searching for a full time Pastor to lead our congregation and surrounding communities. We have a strong history and a heart for missions. Anticipated community growth will require an energetic Christian servant leader with a God-given passion for church renewal. We are seeking a Pastor who will prayerfully and effectively proclaim God's inerrant Word. He must demonstrate a proven ablility to shepherd a multi-generational church and build Christian disciples and leaders. We are a Southern Baptist church committed to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. Seminary training is preferred but not required.

We have around 400 people listed in our church database with an average Sunday service attendance of 130 people. The average Sunday School attendance is 62 people. We have a multitude of different groups that meet on a weekly basis. We support numerous missions.
