FULL-TIME POSITION - 40 HOURS A WEEK - SALARY DEPENDENT ON CANDIDATE SKILL SET AND CAPACITY

Hollister Campus Size - 400; 2 services

The key responsibilities listed below are a summary of this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES includes but not limited to:

Worship Leader

• Directing music, sound, and media for Sunday Services

• Preparing service flow song selection

• Recruiting, Building, and Scheduling music teams

• Preparing, checking, and uploading sermon/worship/announcement slides

• Pre-Service band practice and stage preparation

• Manage youth band

Associate Pastor

• Small Groups

• Manage and grow small group ministry

• On board, develop, and encourage small group leaders

• Manage library of small group curriculum and curriculum development

2. Discipleship/Local Missions

• Help people of SVCC Hollister love Jesus more

• Conduct quarterly Essentials, Explore, and Engage classes

• Work with other ministry leaders to see that each ministry is successful

• Develop ongoing relationship with local mission agencies and provide volunteers as needed; particularly for Compassion Sunday and Family Service Day

• Servants heart to do other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

• Lifestyle that is consistent with Christian morals

• Heart of a pastor

• Agree with the Statement of Faith and Committment to Christian Living statements of South Valley Community Church

• Gifted vocalist that is humble and Spirit-led

• Skilled in either guitar or piano

• Understanding of sound boards and lighting

• Computer/Tech savvy (we use Propresenter and Planning Center Online)

• Ability to edit video a plus

South Valley Community Church has 3 campus'. The Gilroy campus has 3 services with 1000 people in attendance each Sunday. The Hollister campus has 2 services with 400 people in attendance each Sunday. We also have a Spanish speaking campus that meets in our Gilroy facility with approximately 100 people in attendance weekly.
