Music Director

To administer and manage all aspects of the music program within worship, fellowship, and outreach ministries of the Church.

This position is a part-time role working an estimated 15 - 20 hours per week with an enthusiastic staff dedicated to glorifying God by joyfully following Christ according to Scripture. The position is located in Venetia, PA.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for developing and leading a dynamic music program which enhances the worship, fellowship, and outreach ministries of Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Responsibilities:

·      Lead all musical aspects of Sunday worship

·      Direct the sanctuary choir and additional choral and instrumental groups within the congregation

·      Meet with the Senior Pastor for the purpose of selecting music for each worship service

·      Provide the church secretary with information regarding the music for each worship service

·      Attend Staff Meetings and Music & Worship Ministry Team Meetings

·      Secure a competent substitute to provide music and direct the sanctuary choir when on vacation

·      Prepare and present an Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter special music program for worship and community presentation

·      Be available for Church Ministry a minimum of 1 night per week.  

·      Be proficient in reading and directing music and playing keyboard and other instruments

Qualifications

·      A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Music, or equivalent experience

·      A minimum of two years’ experience in Church Music Ministry

Compensation:

·      Salaried compensation commensurate with experience
