General Purpose:
The role of the Associate Worship Minister is to lead the congregation in engaging, dynamic worship designed to draw people closer to Christ and to His salvation, and lead them into deeper discipleship of Him, while developing the church's vocal teams to lead in their gifting with specific training.

Live Oak Church in Denham Springs, LA, is located in a thriving community just east of Baton Rouge. We average ~1,350 in-person worshipers on Sunday mornings across 3 services (2 contemporary, 1 traditional), in addition to those who worship with us online. We are driven by a single goal: to do our part in leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Principle Focus:
Promote the stated mission and goals of Live Oak Church under the direction of the Worship Pastor, and serve as a colleague in ministry with the pastoral staff. Develop and train vocalists to serve the local church through the technical excellence (proper vocal technique, health) and spiritual excellence (passion for the Lord, devotion, leadership) expected of those on the platform.
Skills and Requirements:
Professing born again follower of Jesus Christ
Ordained minister (preferred)
Worship/music degree (preferred)
Prior experience in a similar position
Working Relationships and Accountability:
Reports directly to the Worship Pastor.
Spiritual accountability from the Senior Pastor.
Organizational accountability from the Executive Pastor and HR Committee.
Supervises accompanist, vocalists, and relevant volunteers.
